Observing basic legal, museum-related, and operational standards concerning museum management, preservation of exhibits, and services. Include references to relevant legal articles (in accordance with the law).
Highlighting the institutional identity indicating the private nature of the museum. (It is prohibited to use the name, logo, or images of Sharjah Museums Authority or its affiliated museums.)
Ensuring the authenticity of items displayed in the private museum.
Private museums must not acquire items of questionable origin or obtained through illegal means, whether by purchase, gift, loan, or exchange, without legitimate ownership documents.
Ownership documentation must not conflict with Law No. 20 of 2020 concerning cultural heritage in Sharjah and Federal Law No. 11 of 2017 of the UAE regarding antiquities.
Registration Steps:
Step 1: Complete the initial registration form for private museums in Sharjah.
(If preliminary registration is approved) - Step 2: Complete the detailed registration form for private museums in Sharjah.
